PROBLEM: Feed concentration of radium and gross alpha in water source was as high as 30.4 pCi/L for radium and 91.5 pCi/L for gross alpha, both exceeding MCL standard.
RESULTS: Pilot unit reduced radium levels to an average of 0.5 pCi/L for radium and 6.9 pCi/L for gross alpha.
