PROBLEM: Radium and gross alpha levels in water source were as high as 12.8 pCi/L for radium, and 66.9 pCi/L for gross alpha; both exceeding MCL standards.
RESULTS: Pilot unit reduced radium levels to an average of 0.6 pCi/L, and gross alpha levels to an average of 0.7 pCi/L.
