WRT Celebrates Signing of 50th Contract for Water Treatment in South Carolina

Salem, SC – Reaching a new company milestone, Water Remediation Technology, LLC (WRT) has signed its 50th contract for water treatment services with the Keowee Bay Property Owners Association. The company’s newest uranium removal system, scheduled for installation in January, will be the first of its kind in the state.

Under a 20-year contract, WRT will remove uranium from a well providing drinking water to approximately 60 homes in the community of Keowee Bay, S.C. Located in the northwestern corner of the state, near Salem on Lake Keowee, Keowee Bay is a gated community nestled into the eastern side of the Smoky Mountains.

“Signing our 50th contract in Keowee Bay is a terrific achievement for WRT, marking our continued success in providing safe, clean drinking water for communities across the country,” said Charlie Williams, founder and CEO of WRT. Initial tests for uranium in Keowee Bay’s drinking water supply showed levels above the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s guidelines of 30 ug/L. WRT’s patent pending Z-92™ treatment process will reduce uranium to safe concentration levels for drinking water.

In addition to design and installation of the water treatment system, WRT will also be responsible for the environmentally safe handling and removal of the uranium from the treatment site to a remote licensed facility, preventing future contamination in Keowee Bay.

Colorado-based WRT services clients on a national level with full-scale installations underway in states including California, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
