Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) – Tow Village, Texas

PROBLEM: Radium and gross alpha levels in water source were as high as 54.0 pCi/L for radium, and 140.0 pCi/L for gross alpha; both exceeding MCL standards.
RESULTS: Pilot unit reduced radium levels to an average of 0.3 pCi/L, and gross alpha levels to an average of 5.0 pCi/L.
